Katherine Coulton
The Lion of St Andrews, The Sailing Bear of the East Neuk
Katherine’s artwork comes from a lifelong passion for sketching. She uses a mix of both hand-drawn illustration and digital media to create her unique pencil images, influenced by traditional artists and printmakers, and a love of landscape and history. Her favourite thing about illustrating children’s books is when she can go wild with detail!
She is currently creating her own range of homeware – under her new name Katherine O’Shea – but is still using the traditional pencil-drawing method that she loves.

Printers
Martins the Printers
Printers of all the Serafina Press books since our launch.
From the beginning, we decided to work with a local printer, and we were fortunate to have a highly professional book printer very close, near Berwick-upon-Tweed. Martins have helped us through every step of making the books happen – design, production and distribution. (And the odd panic.) We are substantially smaller than some of their mainstream publishing customers, but Martins are happy to work with small, large, and self publishers alike, in order to bring their publication projects to fruition.
